The pardon came just days after President Biden had previously denied it would happen. U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika terminated the case, with no legal precedent for further proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>Special Counsel David Weiss disagreed with the idea that the charges were politically motivated and opposed dismissing the indictment.
