Fifteen-year-old Kenadi Dodds stepped onto the America\u2019s Got Talent<\/em> stage wearing a dress, denim jacket, and cowboy boots, carrying big dreams and high hopes.<\/p>\n

The young singer from Logan, Utah, stood before judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, and guest judge Eric Stonestreet, introducing herself and sharing her family\u2019s story. She explained that she had been singing since she was a toddler and revealed that both of her parents are visually impaired and unable to drive. As a result, Kenadi relied on extended family, neighbors, and public transportation to attend her voice lessons.<\/p>\n

With emotion, Kenadi shared, \u201cMy family has an eye disease called Retinitis pigmentosa. I\u2019m the only one in my family who doesn\u2019t have it right now.\u201d She continued, \u201cMy little sister told me she wanted to see me on the biggest stage in the world before it\u2019s too late and her vision\u2019s gone. I\u2019ve worked so hard to get here, and it\u2019s been crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n

For her performance, Kenadi chose to sing an original song titled \u201cOne Way Ticket to Tennessee,\u201d explaining, \u201cIt\u2019s about all the support my parents have given me in chasing my dream of becoming a country singer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vergara praised Kenadi\u2019s country look and style, and admired her talent for writing her own songs. Cowell called her \u201cauthentic\u201d and expressed surprise that her family was from Utah.<\/p>\n

All four judges gave Kenadi a \u201cyes,\u201d sending her to the next round. Kenadi fulfilled her sister\u2019s wish to see her on the AGT stage before her vision faded, delivering a stellar performance.<\/p>\n
