Olivier Bergeron<\/strong>, a 22-year-old truck driver from the small village of Kedgwick, New Brunswick, stepped into the\u00a0American Idol<\/em> audition room, ready to take on the judges despite a language barrier.<\/p>\n

Language Barrier Causes Issues<\/h2>\n

\u201cI never had to speak in English in life,\u201d Bergeron told\u00a0Idol<\/em>\u00a0host Ryan Seacrest before stepping into the audition room in front of the star-studded panel of judges, comprised of Lionel Richie, Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan.<\/p>\n

Then, he entered the room with his acoustic guitar in hand, wearing a white t-shirt, backwards ball cap and camouflage pants. Bergeron was greeted by the Idol judges, who asked him to tell them about himself and where he\u2019s from.<\/p>\n

He revealed his age, profession and that he was from a small village called Kedgwick, New-Brunswick in Canada.<\/p>\n

Luke Bryan \u201cthe mussels up there out of the sea are amazing,\u201d Luke Bryan said, acknowledging his home base. Bergeron thought he was talking about his muscles, so Bryan clarified, \u201cno, the mussels, the seafood.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, not the muscles,\u201d Bergeron said while laughing, referencing his arms. Carrie Underwood confirmed, \u201cnot these,\u201d as she flexed and showed off her very toned biceps.<\/p>\n

Auditioned With \u201cSave Me\u201d By Jelly Roll<\/h2>\n

Olivier Bergeron went on to deliver a stunning cover of \u201cSave Me\u201d by\u00a0Jelly Roll. \u201cI\u2019m a lost cause\/ Baby, don\u2019t waste your time on me\/ I\u2019m so damaged beyond repair\/ Life has shattered my hopes and my dreams,\u201d the contestant sang on the chorus of the chart-topping track.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne side of me wants to say, just hold him for a minute. Let him kind of develop, but you\u2019ve got a unique style that you can work with,\u201d Richie said. Luke Bryan chimed in, \u201cyou\u2019re acting like you want to roll some dice there, Lionel. I think I\u2019m going to roll the dice too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carrie Underwood agreed with Richie and Bryan, \u201cI think I\u2019m going to roll that dice too. I\u2019m going to say yes.\u201d<\/p>\n
