The Final No Show Tribute To George Jones\u00a0<\/em>held at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, the tribute included performances from\u00a0George Strait,\u00a0Garth Brooks,\u00a0Trisha Yearwood,\u00a0Miranda Lambert,\u00a0Brad Paisley,\u00a0Blake Shelton,\u00a0Emmylou Harris,\u00a0Kid Rock,\u00a0Eric Church,\u00a0Charlie Daniels,\u00a0Jamey Johnson, and\u00a0Alan Jackson.<\/p>\n<p>All of Jones\u2019 hits from \u201cChoices\u201d to \u201cBlues Man\u201d to \u201cThe Grand Tour\u201d to \u201cGolden Ring\u201d were performed, but the highlight of the night had to be Alan Jackson closing out the show with what some people call the greatest country music song of all time, \u201cHe Stopped Loving Her Today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"George Jones - LIVE &quot;He Stopped Loving Her Today&quot; FIRST TV APPEARANCE FOR THAT SONG!\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1R2F9f2Cl6Y\" width=\"350\" height=\"235\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-origwidth=\"350\" data-origheight=\"235\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Jones meant a whole lot to Jackson, who considered The Possum his hero as well as his friend. In fact, just after finding out about his death, Jackson performed the song as his show that night to pay tribute to the late legend.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Alan Jackson - He Stopped Loving Her Today cover (4\/26\/13)\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/EneKid8t-_U\" width=\"350\" height=\"235\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-origwidth=\"350\" data-origheight=\"235\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>While closing out the tribute concert, Jackson paused before singing the final chorus.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI know before we leave here tonight that George would like nothin\u2019 better than all these fans here and all the artists here tonight to sing along and help us with the chorus. This is the greatest country song and the greatest country singer that ever was,\u201d he said as he invited Jones\u2019 widow, Nancy, to join him at his microphone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet\u2019s sing one in honor of George,\u201d he continued.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>There couldn\u2019t have been a dry eye in that entire arena after Nancy walked on stage, singing her husband of 30 years\u2019 most iconic song.
