Hoping to stand out amongst her competitors was YANI, a 26-year-old vocalist from New Jersey. At the start of her audition, she tells the judges:<\/p>\n

The pianist begins what appears to be a ballad before transitioning into the tune of \u201cWaiting All Day for Sunday Night,\u201d Carrie Underwood\u2019s football-themed song. The judges erupt in laughter at the realization.<\/p>\n

The song was composed to the tune of Joan Jett\u2019s \u201cI Hate Myself For Loving You,\u201d with a clever lyrical rewrite to tie into the sport. Carrie Underwood has been performing the anthem ahead of NBC\u2019s\u00a0Sunday Night Football<\/em>\u00a0for an impressive 12 seasons.<\/p>\n
