Ethan Senger<\/strong>, a 24-year-old musician, captivated the\u00a0American Idol<\/em> judges with his stellar\u00a0Keith Urban\u00a0cover and the breathtaking harmonies he shared with his mother. Hailing from Woodstock, Georgia, Ethan Senger\u2014pronounced \u201csinger\u201d\u2014introduced himself, instantly charming the Idol judges with his name.<\/p>\n

Luke Bryan commented, \u201cThat\u2019s a good last name,\u201d while Carrie Underwood playfully added, \u201cYou have no choice but to be here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Senger offered a little bit of his backstory, explaining, \u201cSo I sing all over the place, playing gigs. I\u2019m a musician for a living. My dad was a guitar player and my mom is a singer. So yeah, fell in love with it from the get-go and me and my mom actually sang together from time to time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Auditioned With Impressive Keith Urban Cover<\/h2>\n

Donning an army green crew neck and jeans, Senger strummed his acoustic guitar as he belted out the lyrics to the massive country hit, which was co-written by Urban and appear on Urban\u2019s 2002 album,\u00a0Golden Road<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The contestant went on to showcase his vocals with \u201cSomebody Like You.\u201d Throughout his performance of the Urban track, Bryan provided constructive feedback, offering suggestions like \u201copen your mouth a little bit\u201d to improve pronunciation and \u201cslow it down so we can really hear you sing this thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bryan\u2019s suggestions improved his performance so much that he applauded Ethan Senger\u2019s performance and apologize for \u201cyelling a little bit\u201d at him during his audition.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sorry, I started yelling a little bit at you\u2026 But listen, dude, you\u2019ve got cool, cool things going on,\u201d Bryan said. Lionel Richie added, \u201cyou have some true PO-tential.\u201d<\/p>\n
