Season four of\u00a0The Kelly Clarkson Show<\/em> premiered on Monday (Sept. 12) with a special guests in the mix.<\/p>\n

The Emmy Award-winning talk show host,\u00a0Kelly Clarkson<\/strong>, returned to television with her longtime friend, country legend\u00a0Garth Brooks<\/strong>. As if the two weren\u2019t entertaining enough, they stirred up the audience by belting out a duet of Billy Joel\u2019s \u201cNew York State of Mind.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clarkson jokes, \u201cI know it\u2019s a downgrade from Billy Joel, but I\u2019m going to do my best.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSome folks like to get away \/ Take a holiday from the neighborhood \/ Hop a flight to Miami Beach \/ Or to Hollywood \/ But I\u2019m taking a Greyhound \/ On the Hudson River Line \/ I\u2019m in a New York state of mind,\u201d Clarkson and Brooks sing.<\/p>\n

The pair stood up halfway through the song as the audience cheered them on, finishing their performance with a smile and a big hug.<\/p>\n

Clarkson and Brooks then sat down and chatted about Brooks\u2019 wife Trisha Yearwood, to whom Brooks refers to as \u2018Miss Yearwood.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a million reasons why you know the love of your life is the love of your life. I told Miss Yearwood, I said, \u2018Do you want to go out for dinner tonight?\u2019 She said \u2018yeah.\u2019 I took her to a baseball game for a baseball hotdog. And she was phenomenal.\u201d<\/p>\n

This sent the crowd through a laughing frenzy.<\/p>\n

Brooks continued, \u201cShe\u2019s got a guy that\u2019s got all the great girl stuff,\u201d which sent Clarkson into hysterics as she slipped back laughing into her chair.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe is fabulous,\u201d he reiterated over and over.<\/p>\n

The seven-time CMA Entertainer of The Year winner dished with Clarkson over the excitement of finally being back on tour after years of pandemic shutdowns.<\/p>\n

Brooks shared, \u201cI think what people love about touring, that it\u2019s back now, is I think people are finally where they belong, and that\u2019s together again.\u201d<\/p>\n
