The Grand Ole Opry turns 100 this year, so it\u2019s only fitting that they get a monumental birthday party in the form of a three-hour live TV special,\u00a0Opry 100<\/em>! Hosted by Blake Shelton, some of the biggest names in country music history were in attendance and performed.<\/p>\n Reba McEntire opened the show with a tribute to Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn, followed by \u201cThe Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia\u201d with Trisha Yearwood. Carrie Underwood performed a medley of Randy Travis songs, ending with \u201cForever and Ever, Amen.\u201d She walked down the stage steps to let Travis sing the final \u201cAmen\u201d of the song, which had the whole theater in tears!<\/p>\n <\/ins><\/ins><\/div>\n Lainey Wilson played Hank Williams\u2019 guitar while she and Marty Stuart performed one of his songs, and Kelsea Ballerini sang \u201cI Was Country (When Country Wasn\u2019t Cool)\u201d in front of Barbara Mandrell!<\/p>\n Alan Jackson got everyone on their feet with \u201cChattahoochee,\u201d and Post Malone and Travis Tritt kept the party going with a rockin\u2019 cover of \u201cT-R-O-U-B-L-E.\u201d Those were just a few of the legendary collaborations and performances that took place at\u00a0Opry 100<\/em>.<\/p>\n During the red carpet, WSM host Kelly Sutton teased the closing performance and the fact that there are over 50 living Grand Ole Opry members in attendance. She said that it was a performance that we wouldn\u2019t want to miss.<\/p>\n And she was right!<\/p>\n See the full list of performers for the closing number below.<\/p>\n Randy Travis Reba McEntire, Lady A, and Carrie Underwood stood center stage, in front of risers filled with Opry members, signaling that they would be singing lead on the song.\u00a0McEntire started the performance by telling Dolly Parton, who recently lost her husband, that they are all so sorry for her loss, are praying for her, and\u00a0will always love her.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Hilary Scott of Lady A kicked off Parton\u2019s iconic song \u201cI Will Always Love You.\u201d Reba and Carrie also sang solos with the Opry member choir singing harmonies in the chorus. What a powerful performance!<\/p>\n After they performed \u201cI Will Always Love You,\u201d they dove into \u201cWill The Circle Be Unbroken\u201d once the live TV feed cut out.
