On the Wednesday, October 4th episode, Cyrus and Fallon sang a duet that will have you doing a double take.<\/p>\n<p>Paying tribute to Cyrus\u2019 godmother, Dolly Parton, and her frequent duet partner Kenny Rogers, the duo sang \u201cIslands in the Stream\u201d dressed like the country legends.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\"><ins id=\"982a9496-49f71f0febff2a6f4b95c9822efdee2f-4-9664\" class=\"982a9496\" data-key=\"49f71f0febff2a6f4b95c9822efdee2f\"><ins id=\"982a9496-49f71f0febff2a6f4b95c9822efdee2f-4-9664-1\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"dieroseinforinread-NtCBitRCpt\"><\/div>\n<p><\/ins><\/ins><\/div>\n<p>Fallon first walked out on stage in a tuxedo, gray wig, and fake gray beard, looking eerily similar to The Gambler himself. The song was originally intended as an R&amp;B song for Marvin Gaye, but it transformed into a country-pop masterpiece under the vocals of Kenny and Dolly. The track became a monumental hit, topping both the\u00a0<em>Billboard<\/em> Hot 100 and the Country charts, and solidified the pair\u2019s legendary status in the music world.<\/p>\n<p>Rogers saw their performance, and absolutely approved of it, saying,\u00a0<em>\u201cJimmy Fallon\u00a0and\u00a0Miley Cyrus\u00a0make a great duet\u2026perhaps we\u2019ll let them go on the road in place of us!
