Brittany Kerr, who was also an NBA\u00a0cheerleader\u00a0for the Charlotte Bobcats, performed a cover of Joss Stone\u2019s song \u201cSpoiled\u201d during her audition for then-judges Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez, and Randy Jackson.<\/p>\n

Tyler remarked that Brittany had a \u201cyes\u201d vote from him before she even started singing, while Jackson said, \u201cthat did it for me\u201d after listening to her sing a few bars of the song. Lopez, however, was not so easily convinced, eventually giving Brittany a \u201cno\u201d when it came time to vote.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like it [and] I like your melody, you\u2019re on pitch, and you\u2019re good-looking, you just gotta push it out a little bit more,\u201d Tyler told Brittany at the time before telling her she needed to \u201cproject\u201d a bit more vocally.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think there\u2019s something there, I think she can develop,\u201d Jackson agreed.<\/p>\n

With two \u201cyes\u201d votes from Tyler and Jackson, Brittany advanced to the next round of the competition and made it to Hollywood.<\/p>\n

Lopez later explained the reasoning behind her \u201cno\u201d vote,\u00a0predicting\u00a0that Brittany wouldn\u2019t \u201csurvive a week.\u201d And while Brittany made it to Hollywood, she was eliminated from the competition shortly after that.<\/p>\n

Brittany Aldean did walk away from her short-lived\u00a0Idol<\/em>\u00a0experience with something else, though.<\/p>\n
