The pair first\u00a0met at the Wishy Washy laundromat<\/strong>\u00a0in Nashville during one of her first weekends in town after moving there to pursue a music career. He saw her walking down the street, pulled over to ask her out, and the rest, as they say, is history.<\/p>\n The sad news about Carl\u2019s passing was released via Dolly\u2019s social media with the following statement:<\/p>\n \u201cCarl Dean, husband of Dolly Parton, passed away March 3rd in Nashville at the age of 82. He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony with immediate family attending. He was survived by his siblings Sandra and Donnie.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n \u2018Carl and I spent many wonderful years together. Words can\u2019t do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years.
