The reality star\u2019s family shared the news through various social media posts on Sunday, May 25, months after they revealed in December that he was\u00a0diagnosed with Alzheimer\u2019s disease.<\/p>\n

Phil\u2019s son, Jase Robertson, posted a\u00a0tribute on X<\/a>, writing, \u201cMy dad has gone to be with the Lord today! He will be missed but we know he is in good hands, and our family is good because God is very good! We will see him again!\u201d as\u00a0Sadie Robertson Huff, Phil\u2019s granddaughter, marked his death with an Instagram post featuring a\u00a0series of photos<\/a> of their famous family throughout the years.<\/p>\n

In their own joint Instagram post, son\u00a0Willie Robertson\u00a0and his wife Korie Robertson\u00a0wrote<\/a>, \u201cWe celebrate today that our father, husband, and grandfather, Phil Robertson, is now with the Lord.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you for the love and prayers of so many whose lives have been impacted by his life,\u201d the pair continued, in part, adding, \u201cWe know so many of you love him and have been impacted by his life. We\u2019re having a private service for now, but we\u2019ll share details soon about a public celebration of his life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Phil\u2019s Alzheimer\u2019s diagnosis was first made public on the Dec. 6 episode of the\u00a0Unashamed with the Robertson Family<\/em><\/a>\u00a0podcast. At the time, Jase revealed that his dad was in the \u201cearly stages\u201d of the illness.<\/p>\n

He further explained that his father\u2019s Alzheimer\u2019s \u201caccelerated, and it\u2019s causing problems with his entire body,\u201d adding, \u201cHe\u2019s just not doing well. He\u2019s really struggling.\u201d<\/p>\n

Months later, during an April 2 episode of the podcast, Jase\u00a0spoke more about his dad\u2019s health ordeal, telling listeners that Phil was \u201cnot good.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cWe\u2019re making him comfortable, and we\u2019re doing the best we can. I think that\u2019s just what you do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Duck Dynasty<\/em>\u00a0aired on A&E and followed members of the Robertson family \u2014 including Phil and Kay Robertson, alongside three of their sons, Jase,\u00a0Willie\u00a0and Jep, plus several grandchildren and a few of their employees as they worked together at their family business, Duck Commander.<\/p>\n

The series ended in 2017 after 11 seasons, though it spawned various spinoffs, including\u00a0Going Si-Ral<\/em>,\u00a0Jep & Jessica: Growing the Dynasty<\/em>,\u00a0At Home with the Robertsons<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Duck Family Treasure.\u00a0<\/em>A&E announced in January that the show would return to the network as\u00a0Duck Dynasty: The Revival<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The Robertson family has grown since the popular series ended, with many of\u00a0the younger cast\u00a0members starting their own families.<\/p>\n

Phil, a Louisiana native and the founder and president of the hunting company Duck Commander, started the family business in 1972 with a now-patented duck call. He married Kay when she was 17, after she became pregnant with the couple\u2019s first son.<\/p>\n

Duck Dynasty: The Revival\u00a0<\/em>is expected to premiere on A&E this summer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
