When Thomas said he was heading on a church men\u2019s camping retreat, I didn\u2019t question it. After learning his church friend Gary wasn\u2019t even on the retreat, I used the tracking app we\u2019d synced for emergencies. His location blinked\u2014then settled on a hotel room. I found him there, in a robe, with a younger woman sipping champagne behind him. I handed him an envelope with proof: untouched camping gear, his location, and a divorce lawyer\u2019s card. Between the ros\u00e9 and strawberries on the nightstand sat his Bible\u2014topped with a red lace bra.<\/p>\n

I walked away that night with nothing but my dignity and my kids\u2019 trust. When our son asked if Daddy would be back for pancakes, I told him the truth. Later, I cried for the woman I used to be. But by morning, I found peace. Because real faith isn\u2019t in scripture recited\u2014it\u2019s in the choices you make when no one\u2019s watching.
