In 2012, Jason Farol was a 19-year-old with a big dream. The only problem was that his parents didn\u2019t agree with his dream to go forward as a professional singer.<\/p>\n

During his submitted audition tape, Farol filmed from inside his car in the garage as he was fearful his parents would\u00a0not support him in his endeavors.\u00a0He was submitting an audition for ABC\u2019s one-run singing competition,\u00a0Duets<\/em>, for which Kelly Clarkson was a judge.<\/p>\n

\u201cRight now my parents\u2019 main focus for me is to pay attention to school,\u201d Farol said in his tape. \u201cIt\u2019s kind of why I\u2019m recording in the car.\u00a0I don\u2019t want my parents to hear how I feel about their life plan for me.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Clarkson chose Farol as a duet partner for the season because of his incredible talent, and when they were practicing together for an episode titled \u201cSongs That Inspire\u201d, Farol got an unexpected surprise.<\/p>\n

Singing Leonard Cohen\u2019s\u00a0\u201cHallelujah\u201d,<\/em> you can hear the raw power and emotion behind every word as they rehearse and out of the corner of the room, Farol\u2019s father walks out!<\/p>\n

The song, being one of his father\u2019s favorites, brought out a new side to his dad that he wasn\u2019t expecting!<\/p>\n

\u201cI really believe in him,\u201d Farol\u2019s dad said. \u201cI really believe in him. I hope he makes it.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And with that, the two moved forward with their stunning rednition of a classic song that would bring anyone to tears!<\/p>\n
