The\u00a0CMA Fest<\/em>\u00a0is officially underway, with the opening night of the 52nd festival showcasing some of your favorite artists, including a headlining set by\u00a0Jason Aldean.<\/p>\n Aldean surprised the\u00a0CMA Fest<\/em>\u00a0crowd by bringing out his good friend,\u00a0Travis Tritt, to perform Tritt\u2019s hit, \u201cIt\u2019s a Great Day to Be Alive,\u201d which was released in 2000 on the album\u00a0Down the Road I Go.<\/em><\/p>\n <\/ins><\/ins><\/div>\n The song celebrates the joy of one perfect day and expresses the singer\u2019s hope that every day will be just as good, though most days fall short.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd it\u2019s a great day to be alive Tritt and Aldean have been longtime friends, often supporting each other in the media. Whenever one faces backlash for their political views, both Trump supporters and outspoken conservatives have come to each other\u2019s defense.<\/p>\n This was particularly evident when Tritt spoke out in support of Aldean\u2019s song, \u201cTry That in a Small Town,\u201d which faced controversy due to the political climate at the time.<\/p>\n Tritt defended the song, stating,<\/p>\n \u201cIMO, this song isn\u2019t promoting violence as some have suggested. It is simply expressing a point of view that many American people share which is against the obvious violence that we have seen from the likes of so many \u2018activists groups\u2019 in this country in recent years and the belief shared by millions that this behavior would not be tolerated by many people in many places across the USA.
