Sadly, they were unprepared for the care she needed, and Lunetta developed a severe staph infection. Just when hope was fading, another U.S. family stepped in, providing the medical treatment and love she needed to recover.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"685\" data-end=\"949\">With a custom wheelchair, a dog sibling, and a loving home, Lunetta experienced joy for the first time\u2014playing in snow, running in parks, and celebrating holidays with her new family.
