Reba McEntire Helps The Country Music Hall Of Fame With Tribute To Patsy Cline<\/h2>\n

In October 2020, some of country music\u2019s brightest stars came together to show support for the\u00a0Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum\u00a0in Nashville. Artists such as\u00a0Tim McGraw,\u00a0Kane Brown,\u00a0Miranda Lambert, and\u00a0Reba McEntire\u00a0performed during an event dubbed\u00a0BIG NIGHT (At the Museum)<\/em>\u00a0with the purpose of raising funds for the CMHOF.<\/p>\n

The artists who participated in the fundraiser performed songs made famous by the artists who came before them<\/strong>. Several of the performers even got the chance to play their idols\u2019 instruments during their tributes.<\/p>\n

But in McEntire\u2019s case, she\u00a0delivered her tribute\u00a0without any instruments at all. A single spotlight shone down on her as she sang an a cappella rendition of a country classic, \u201cSweet Dreams.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Story Behind The Patsy Cline Song \u201cSweet Dreams\u201d<\/h2>\n

\u201cSweet Dreams\u201d was written by Don Gibson, and his recording was released in 1955. It was a Top 10 hit, but soon a rendition by Faron Young became even more popular.<\/p>\n

However, it was\u00a0Patsy Cline\u2018s 1963 version of the song that went on to become known as the most iconic.<\/strong>\u00a0It was released posthumously, and went on to claim the #5 spot on the\u00a0Hot Country Songs<\/em>\u00a0chart.<\/p>\n

The song later became the title of the 1985 biopic about her life,\u00a0Sweet Dreams<\/em>.<\/p>\n
