Police say the 19-year-old boyfriend pulled a handgun, shot Turck, then shot himself. Turck later died at the hospital; the woman he protected and his dog, Lana, were unharmed.<\/p>\n
His family called him a hero: \u201cIf Adam hadn\u2019t been there, that woman would not be alive today.\u201d They added that his final act was organ donation.<\/p>\n
