Jack Osbourne<\/span>\u00a0revealed that\u00a0he and his sister Aimee were \u2018not close at all\u2019 in a podcast chat recorded weeks before they reunited for their father Ozzy\u2019s funeral.<\/p>\n

The Osbournes launched in 2002 and ran for four series\u2019 on MTV, following the lives of the late\u00a0Ozzy Osbourne<\/span>, his wife Sharon and two of their children \u2013 Jack and Kelly.<\/p>\n

However, Aimee, who is Jack and Kelly\u2019s eldest sister, chose not to star in the reality show as she\u00a0tried to carve out her own career in the music industry<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Jack, 39, appearing on the\u00a0Disrespectfully\u00a0<\/a>podcast, said: \u2018Back then she really wanted to be a musician and the kind of musician she wanted to be was like a Fiona Apple, Mazzy Star, like this kind of obscure, mysterious, moody\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2018And she deemed doing a show on MTV as low-hanging fruit. She was like, \u201cI\u2019m not going to be seen riding coat-tails,\u201d kind of thing, that\u2019s how she perceived it.<\/p>\n

\u2018Once the show was hugely successful I think she was kind of like, \u201cWell I can\u2019t now come on because I don\u2019t want to be seen even more so as jumping on the bandwagon\u201d. And she dug her heels in and wanted to be relatively private and obscure.\u2019<\/p>\n

While Aimee has remained away from the limelight compared to her siblings, the 41-year-old has previously released music under the name ARO, which is her initials.<\/p>\n

Jack revealed on the podcast they weren\u2019t on close terms when he was quizzed on whether Aimee regretted not taking part in the family\u2019s reality series.<\/p>\n

He admitted: \u2018I\u2019ve never had the conversation with her, we\u2019re not close at all. We don\u2019t have a great relationship, she\u2019ll be the first to tell you that, so it\u2019s no secret.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019ve never asked her outright, \u201cDo you regret it\u2019\u201d I think there must be a level of like, \u201cHey, my life would have probably been different than what it is if I\u2019d done that\u201d, so I don\u2019t know, I think I would feel like I would have regretted it.\u2019<\/p>\n

Aimee courageously put herself in the spotlight for her beloved father at his funeral procession last month.<\/p>\n

The Black Sabbath rocker died aged 76 on July 22 and his funeral cortege travelled through his hometown of Birmingham, passing thousands of fans who lined the streets.<\/p>\n

Her brave decision to step into the limelight and pay respects with the world also forced her to put differences aside with her estranged sister Kelly.<\/p>\n

Kelly and Aimee have had a fraught relationship for years, but were pictured with their devastated mother and brother for the rock legend\u2019s send off.<\/p>\n

In recent years the vastly-different siblings had admitted they weren\u2019t on speaking terms, with Kelly saying in an interview they just \u2018didn\u2019t understand each other.\u2019<\/p>\n

Kelly, who appeared on the Dax Shepard podcast Armchair Expert, revealed in 2021 that she and her older sister had been estranged for a long time.<\/p>\n

\u2018We don\u2019t talk,\u2019 Kelly said. \u2018We\u2019re just really different. She doesn\u2019t understand me and I don\u2019t understand her.\u2019<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, back in 2015 Aimee shared with The Independent that her and Kelly were not on close terms.<\/p>\n

\u2018I wouldn\u2019t say there is an ease between us, but there is an acceptance,\u2019 she said. \u2018Do we socialize? No.\u2019<\/p>\n

Sharon previously admitted she was devastated when Aimee moved out, saying on The Talk in 2018: \u2018She felt too that she didn\u2019t want to grow up on camera. She hated the idea \u2013 it was appalling to her.<\/p>\n

\u2018And so she left at 16 and I regret every day that she did. It broke my heart when she moved.\u2019<\/p>\n

Ozzy shared daughters Kelly and Aimee, as well as son Jack, with his wife of 43 years Sharon, and also had three children, Louis, Jessica and Eliot, from his first marriage to wife Thelma Riley.<\/p>\n
