After a year of research and consulting with healthcare professionals, he chose to have surgery, emphasizing the importance of checkups, self-advocacy, and seeking help when needed. \u201cHopefully this is a reminder to everyone that you\u2019re not alone,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"877\" data-end=\"1197\">Born in Michigan on February 9, 1973, Egglesfield earned a biology degree from the University of Iowa before being scouted by a modeling agency. His modeling career with brands like Versace and Calvin Klein eventually led to acting roles, including <em data-start=\"1126\" data-end=\"1143\">All My Children<\/em>, <em data-start=\"1145\" data-end=\"1162\">The Client List<\/em>, <em data-start=\"1164\" data-end=\"1179\">Melrose Place<\/em>, and <em data-start=\"1185\" data-end=\"1194\">Lucifer<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1199\" data-end=\"1443\">Beyond acting, Egglesfield is the author of the motivational book <em data-start=\"1265\" data-end=\"1279\">Agile Artist<\/em> and is active in philanthropy, supporting cancer research and youth empowerment programs.
