When Emma the pig<\/strong> arrived at Apricot Lane Farm<\/em> in California, she was weak, sick, and heavily pregnant. Veterinarians warned the owner, Chester<\/strong>, that she might not survive the birth and would be lucky to have even six piglets. But on the night of her labor, Emma defied all expectations \u2014 she delivered 17 piglets<\/strong>, with 13 surviving. Chester was stunned by the miracle, though Emma was left completely exhausted after the ordeal.<\/p>\n

Her condition quickly worsened. Feverish and frail, she could barely move. Fearing for the piglets\u2019 lives, Chester separated them from her to hand-feed them, hoping it would give both mother and babies a fighting chance. Yet despite his care, Emma\u2019s health declined further, and she seemed to lose the will to live.<\/p>\n
