In his later years, his health became a difficult battle. Surgeries piled up, and a Parkinson\u2019s diagnosis forced him to step away from stand-up, even though performing had been a major part of his identity.<\/p>\n

Through it all, his wife Joyce Lapinsky remained his steady support. They met in 1998 at a Ringo Starr album party and married in 2005, giving him a sense of peace and stability outside the spotlight.<\/p>\n
