Although the exterior had faded and the aircraft required major mechanical work, the preserved cabin offered a rare glimpse into luxury air travel during Elvis\u2019s era.<\/p>\n<p>The jet was eventually sold at auction for about <strong>$260,000<\/strong> to a buyer who reportedly placed bids by telephone.
