While doctors tried to save her, Ben pulled me into a hospital corridor and revealed a secret Rosie had asked him to share if she didn\u2019t survive. My parents had offered him a six-figure payment to marry Rosie and take responsibility for her care, housing, legal matters, and medical needs. Ben had signed the agreement, but he had never kept the money. Instead, every payment had been placed into an account for Rosie. He explained that my parents had been planning to send her to a residential facility, and signing the agreement gave him time to help Rosie obtain her own lawyer and gain control over her future.<\/p>\n
