Recently, she had begun asking questions about Noreen\u2019s finances and tried convincing Harlan to give her control, making him fear she might take advantage of Noreen after his death.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"798\" data-end=\"1107\">His suspicions prove correct when Mavis arrives with power-of-attorney papers and information about Noreen\u2019s private $517,804 brokerage account. Noreen gathers evidence and later reveals that she is the sole beneficiary and trustee of the assets Harlan protected for her.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1109\" data-end=\"1421\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Noreen confronts Mavis with evidence of her past forgery but chooses not to expose her as long as she stays away from her finances.
