In reality, Eli was largely taking care of himself and eventually had to walk to a supermarket after the food in the house ran out. What appeared at first to be a terrible mistake was quickly becoming evidence of something carefully planned.<\/p>\n

The final proof came from Trevor\u2019s ten-year-old daughter, Harper. She discovered a handwritten reminder on the refrigerator stating that Eli would remain behind while Trevor told everyone he was staying with a friend.
