Twenty years later, I attended our high-school reunion feeling confident in a dark green dress. Jason was there bragging about his businesses, luxury home, and new Porsche\u2014but he didn’t recognize me. Instead, he began flirting with me while casually insulting Katherine, who was now his wife. I called Daniel and told him what was happening. Twenty-five minutes later, my brother arrived, and Jason immediately recognized him. When Jason finally realized who I was, his confidence disappeared.<\/p>\n
