But after another hot shower, he noticed that the humid air only moved into the hallway. Looking more closely, he discovered that the bathroom exhaust vent was covered with dust and the fan was barely pulling any air out of the room. Moisture had been repeatedly settling on cooler surfaces instead of escaping properly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Daniel cleaned the vent, checked that the exhaust fan was working correctly, and began running it during every shower and for some time afterward. Once privacy was no longer necessary, he also left the bathroom door partially open to improve airflow. Within a few weeks, the room started drying much faster, the mirror cleared sooner, the towels stayed less damp, and the dark ceiling patch stopped spreading.<\/p>\n<p>He eventually realized that keeping the bathroom door open or closed was not the main issue. Proper ventilation was what mattered most. From then on, Daniel made sure humidity had a clear way to escape and regularly checked the ceiling, walls, and corners for signs of dampness.
