Patricia Williams’ family history is a remarkable example of embracing individuality and celebrating diversity. When her son Redd was born in 2012, his striking almond-shaped eyes and brilliant white hair immediately captured attention. Initially thought to be just a blonde baby, it was soon discovered that Redd had albinism, a rare genetic condition that results in a lack of pigment in the skin, hair, and eyes.<\/p>\n

As the family explored their genetic roots, Patricia remembered her 85-year-old grandmother, who also had platinum-blonde hair and lived on a Native American reservation. Years later, Redd\u2019s younger brother Rockwell was born with albinism as well. Now two and nine years old, the brothers are thriving.
