He underwent surgery to remove the cancer, which was slow-growing, and he fully recovered after six months. Reflecting on the ordeal, he said it made him realize the importance of perspective and how vulnerable he felt during that time.<\/p>\n<p>In 2019, he revealed he was also successfully treated for prostate cancer, caught early enough that it didn\u2019t require chemotherapy. He encouraged others to get checked, adding, &#8220;Sticking your finger up your keister won\u2019t hurt.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Rod emphasized his gratitude for good health, saying, &#8220;The Lord has
