Every holiday, I love hosting my granddaughter Brittany, but last year took a turn when she called me names like “old lady.” When I asked, she revealed her parents, Todd and Rachel, had taught her.<\/p>\n

Heartbroken by their betrayal after all I\u2019d done for them, I discreetly recorded their conversations. Hearing Rachel mock me and admit to teaching Brittany these names was painful.<\/p>\n

At dinner, I confronted them with the recording and set boundaries\u2014no more help or babysitting unless I chose to.<\/p>\n
