W.a.r.n.i.n.g: do not put these in the freezer

Upon opening it, the can exploded, injuring the boy’s face and requiring 38 stitches. Doctors warn that storing carbonated drinks in the freezer is hazardous as it can cause high pressure and potential explosions.

There are three key items you should never put in the freezer:

  1. Carbonated drinks – Freezing them can lead to pressure buildup and cause the cans to explode.
  2. Alcoholic beverages – These can also create dangerous pressure in the freezer, increasing the risk of explosions and fires.
  3. Dry ice – As it expands rapidly in freezing temperatures, dry ice can cause the freezer to explode.

To stay safe, avoid putting these items in the freezer and use proper storage methods.
