In a shocking revelation, former Bush administration official Catherine Austin Fitts claimed that the U.S. government has built a covert underground universe to shield the ultra-wealthy from a potential “near extinction event.” Speaking on Tucker Carlson’s podcast, she discussed her search for $21 trillion in unapproved spending during her time as Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.
Fitts was prompted by a 2017 report revealing that the Army had $6.5 trillion in unsupported adjustments in fiscal 2015, highlighting significant federal spending discrepancies. She alleges that these hidden funds financed illegal projects, including vast underground facilities designed to survive global catastrophes.
Fitts described these underground cities as having extensive infrastructure and transportation systems, claiming there are about 170 such facilities, some located beneath the ocean. While she noted that these bunkers are powered by “breakthrough energy,” the specifics of their functions remain unclear.
She argued that the creation of these underground havens was a deliberate choice by the government to protect the elite while neglecting ordinary Americans. Although her claims may seem conspiratorial, her background in finance and investigation into budget inconsistencies lend some credibility, despite the lack of concrete evidence.
