Trump wanted comedian deported over golf course joke

Since his re-election in 2024, Donald Trump has remained a divisive figure, pushing controversial policies on trade and immigration. While his actions draw both fierce support and opposition, he still finds time for golf—his longtime passion.

In 2016, Trump was pranked at his Turnberry golf resort in Scotland by comedian Simon Brodkin, also known as Lee Nelson. As Trump gave a speech, Brodkin tossed swastika-marked golf balls and shouted, “Donald, here are the balls you ordered!”

Scottish police quickly ended the stunt. Though Trump wanted charges pressed, officers simply deported Brodkin to London, reportedly handling it with humor.

Brodkin is known for bold pranks on public figures, from crashing Kanye West’s Glastonbury set to throwing cash at FIFA’s Sepp Blatter. He says his targets are carefully chosen—controversial enough to spark laughs, but not outrage.
