Critics often point out the financial realities behind his victory. The grand prize isn’t as substantial as it seems; the lump sum is only $100,000 before taxes, which may not be life-changing for most. Additionally, some detractors label him as a “glorified karaoke singer,” noting that he sometimes struggles with pitch and lacks stage presence. Comments such as “I’m not impressed by what he’s done. He’s okay, but not wow” highlight a sentiment shared by some viewers who feel he doesn’t quite deliver the excitement expected from a show of this caliber.
