Keith Urban Plays Tribute To Loretta Lynn With Medley At Nashville Concert

Keith Urban loretta

As country music artists mourn the loss of the great  Loretta Lynn, many pay tribute to her at their concerts.

Like many other country music artists, Keith Urban was greatly impacted during his career by Lynn. After her passing, he took to Instagram to share heartfelt images and kind words about their friendship.

“There’s unique artists, and I mean truly unique artists, and then there’s the very rare ‘one of one’ unclonable originals.

That was THE Miss Loretta Lynn. Bold, fearless, unfiltered, hilarious, smart as a whip, trailblazing (all with a glint in her eye), and gold in her heart.”

Last night, during a show in Nashville, Keith Urban put together a melody of tunes to honor some of the great songs Lynn had produced over her career.

The two-minute clip starts with him singing “Blue Kentucky Girl” and then rolls into “You’re Lookin’ At Country.”

While he is singing, pictures are playing behind him of them together throughout time. Urban and Lynn had a sweet friendship.

I mean, he was her date to the 2005 CMT Awards, and he jumped out of a cake for her…

Here’s the video of Urban jumping out of a cake for Lynn’s birthday, making her wish come true.
