The FBI, led by Deputy Director Dan Bongino, has launched an investigation into a string of coordinated attacks on Tesla vehicles and dealerships, as well as related swatting incidents. Bongino emphasized the bureau’s commitment to transparency and public safety, calling these actions serious threats. The attacks, which include arson and vandalism, are being considered acts of domestic terrorism by federal officials.
A particularly alarming incident took place at a Tesla collision center in Las Vegas, where multiple vehicles were set on fire and gunshots were reported. Authorities recovered one unexploded incendiary device and noted that “Resist” was spray-painted on the building. Similar acts of sabotage have occurred across the U.S., including damage to Cybertrucks at a Kansas City dealership.
The #TeslaTakedown movement, which has spread internationally, appears to target Elon Musk and his involvement in federal cost-cutting efforts. Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed that suspects have already been charged and that investigators are actively exploring connections to organized funding behind the attacks. She warned that additional arrests and prosecutions are expected.
Federal agencies, including the FBI and ATF, are now working together to identify those responsible. Bondi made it clear that this is not a series of isolated incidents but rather a coordinated campaign of intimidation and destruction. As investigations continue, the Department of Justice has vowed to hold all perpetrators and funders accountable.
