The cocaine discovery stunned the nation last summer, leading to a temporary evacuation of the White House. The bag was found in a frequently accessed cubby area near the West Wing’s entrance, used by staff and visitors alike. Despite intensive efforts, the original investigation stalled due to a lack of fingerprints or DNA on the bag and a suspect pool of over 500 individuals.
Former President Donald Trump reignited controversy by openly suggesting that either President Biden or his son Hunter might be connected to the incident. Although the Biden family was reportedly at Camp David when the drugs were found, Hunter’s history with substance abuse has kept public speculation alive.
