Dad removes full-body tattoos for sake of his young daughter

We’ve all made choices we’d undo if we could—but few wear those regrets as visibly as Ethan ‘ModBoy’ Bramble. The Australian body modification enthusiast has spent over $60,000 AUD transforming his appearance with more than 200 tattoos and extreme alterations, including stretched ears, a split tongue, and even the removal of his belly button. What started at age 11 became a full-blown obsession.

Ethan’s heavily tattooed face has drawn the most attention, and now, years later, he’s starting to reconsider the impact. In a candid interview with LadBibleTV’s No Filter, he admitted some regret—not just for the ink itself, but for how it affects how others perceive him. Taking his young daughter to school, he said, has made him especially aware of the judgment that can come with his appearance.

To shift that perception, Ethan has begun the long and painful process of laser tattoo removal. “I’ve probably gone over the full thing six or seven times,” he said, describing the year-long sessions. He believes the face tattoos contributed to anxiety and emotional strain and now looks forward to gradually “clearing the canvas” over the next couple of years.

Despite the discomfort, Ethan’s not ashamed of who he is—just more thoughtful about who he wants to be moving forward. “I’m happy with the way that I look,” he explained, “but I’m also happy knowing my face tattoos are slowly fading.” His story is a powerful reminder that self-expression evolves, and sometimes, so does the need to reclaim your identity.
