Megyn Kelly thinks Rachel Maddow should be punished for going after her MSNBC bosses following Joy Reid’s firing.
On Tuesday’s episode of “The Megyn Kelly Show,” the host unpacked MSNBC’s choice to fire Reid – and end her show “TheReidOut” – and Maddow’s call-out later in the day. Kelly slammed the MSNBC host for rubbing “s–t” in her boss’ face.
“She really is one of the most annoying people on television,” Kelly said. “She oozes sanctimony and self-righteousness, and here’s the real capper. She took her boss’ faces and rubbed them in s–t last night.”

Kelly added, “She should be fired. They won’t fire her, because I won’t say the P word, but they are a bunch of P’s, and she’s the only one who comes close to putting numbers on the board. … But what she got away with on the air last night was absolutely disrespectful, and it was insubordinate, and it is just evidence of how she is somebody who evinces an affected or hypocritical holiness, a feeling or display of moral superiority.”
Maddow went on her show Monday night and said the choice to let Reid and other MSNBC host Katie Phang go felt “indefensible” and felt “unnerving” to her at this period in time.
“I will tell you. It is also unnerving to see that on a network where we’ve got two – count them – two nonwhite hosts in primetime, both of our nonwhite hosts in primetime are losing their shows, as is Katie Phang on the weekend,” she said. “And that feels worse than bad, no matter who replaces them. That feels indefensible. And I do not defend it.”

In a jaw-dropping clash of media titans, Megyn Kelly has called for MSNBC to deliver a “severe punishment” to Rachel Maddow after the liberal host’s brazen defense of Joy Reid and other non-white anchors axed from the network’s lineup. Kelly, never one to mince words, accused Maddow of “hypocritical virtue signaling” in a fiery rant that’s set tongues wagging across the cable news world.
Maddow sparked outrage by publicly slamming MSNBC’s decision to sideline several prominent non-white anchors, including her vocal support for Reid, whose fiery commentary has long been a lightning rod. “Rachel thinks she’s untouchable, slapping her bosses in the face just to flex her woke credentials!” Kelly fumed, suggesting the network should suspend or even fire Maddow for her insubordination. “She’s not running the show—she’s an employee, not the CEO!”
Insiders reveal MSNBC is in chaos, with executives fuming over Maddow’s defiance. “Rachel’s acting like she’s above the network, but this could backfire big time,” a source spilled. “Her loyalty to Reid is admirable, but publicly bashing your employer? That’s a dangerous game.” Some speculate Maddow’s outburst was a calculated move to rally her base, while others see it as a desperate bid to stay relevant in a shifting media landscape.
Kelly, no stranger to controversy herself, didn’t hold back, accusing Maddow of “performative outrage” to mask her own privilege. “She’s preaching diversity while sitting pretty in her ivory tower,” Kelly sneered. Will MSNBC bow to pressure and punish their star host, or will Maddow’s clout save her? One thing’s clear: this drama is far from over, and the tabloids are eating it up!
