Just days after graduating from the University of Rhode Island, 22-year-old Timothy Myles Howard died from a severe allergic reaction to peanuts. His parents said the reaction occurred after he unknowingly ate a contaminated snack late at night. Despite using his EpiPen and calling 911, the reaction progressed too quickly to save him.
Timothy had just earned a degree in Communication Studies and was known for his kindness and calm presence. His mother shared the heartbreaking news on social media, writing, “Our hearts are broken,” and urging others to cherish their loved ones.
In his memory, Timothy’s fraternity brothers launched a fundraiser benefiting Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE). The page encourages awareness, organ donation, and support for allergy research. It has raised over $27,500 so far.
