My Neighbor Painted an Insult on My Lawn, So I Taught Him a Lesson He Won’t Forgett

For ten peaceful years, my neighborhood was calm and respectful—until Tim moved in next door. At first, he seemed fine, talking about backyard barbecues and friendly neighbors. But two weeks in, he asked to use my driveway. I politely said no—we needed the space. The next day, his truck was blocking it anyway.

I confronted him, and he brushed it off. Then it kept happening—his truck, friends’ cars, even lawn gear all ended up on my property. My wife suggested filing an HOA complaint, but before I could, things escalated. I woke up to find “SELFISH JERK” spray-painted across my lawn in bright orange. I knew it was Tim.

The police couldn’t do much, so I called my brother Andrew, a landscaper with a flair for payback. He installed a sprinkler system that sprayed harmless, bright blue chalk-dye water. The next morning, I waited. As Tim walked by with his dog, the sprinklers hit—both of them drenched in neon blue.

He stormed over, furious. I stayed calm. “What are you gonna do, call the cops over water?” He walked away speechless. Since then, no more blocked driveway, no more nonsense—just a quiet wave from a very blue-shy neighbor. And my sprinklers? Still set… just in case.
