A tragic bus accident occurred early Wednesday on Highway 57 near Hermanas-Sabinas, leaving one person dead and several others injured. The bus, traveling from Ciudad Acuña to Gómez Palacio, overturned at kilometer 68.
Among the injured is a child named Jairo, who remains in critical condition at IMSS Clinic 7 in Monclova. At least five other passengers were also hospitalized with varying injuries.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash, gathering witness statements and examining the scene. The bus company has not issued a public statement yet.
The incident has sparked concern among frequent travelers and renewed calls for better road safety, especially during low-visibility early morning hours.
