Reba McEntire is getting to know the next generation of country stars through artists like Lainey Wilson and Priscilla Block.

The country icon most recently appeared in a video on Wilson’s Instagram, showcasing their very first meeting. After the female artists embrace in a hug, they grab hands and share a few words of appreciation for one another.

In the clip, Wilson can be heard expressing her long-awaited desire to meet McEntire who returned the love as she congratulated the country star for all her recent success.

“I’m gonna cry,” Wilson said in awe before adding, “you mean so much to me.”

A “Pinch-Me” Moment

“I’m just so proud of you,” McEntire said as she admitted just how much the country music world needs the rising superstar.

Wilson responded, “There’s a fire in me. I’m ready. I’ve been here for 12 years.”

This heartfelt interaction, which Wilson dubs a “dream come true” took place during this year’s CMA Fest, which the “Heart Like A Truck” singer co-hosted alongside Dierks Bentley and Elle King. That weekend, McEntire also made a surprise appearance during Cody Johnson’s set at Nissan Stadium.

Wilson’s post was paired with a caption that read, “Y’all…what even? This was one of those pinch-me moments. I am such a fan of @reba as not only an artist, but just for the incredible person she is…talk about a dream come true.”

“Getting Punked”

In July, fellow rising country artist Priscilla Block shared a similar moment with the “Fancy” singer. In the midst of filming an interview, McEntire unexpectedly appeared on set with Block, who instantly stepped backward in shock from seeing the country legend in person.

“I just had a freak out,” Block admitted before standing beside McEntire and posing for a photo.

The “Off The Deep End” singer was sporting her signature neon yellow vest and matching hair extension, which McEntire complimented. She then apologized for “bombing” the interview causing Block to rush out of the way and let her take over as the shock continued to set in.

“Remember that time I met @reba and thought I was getting punked 😂 Reba, you can crash my interviews whenever you want,” Block wrote alongside the video shared via social media.

Once Block had collected her emotions, she formerly introduced herself to McEntire.

“I didn’t even tell you my name. I’m Priscilla.”

“I know who you are,” McEntire said with a laugh.

On Tour Now

Wilson and Block are both currently on the road and paving their own paths in country music. The Louisiana native recently wrapped her time on Luke Combs’ 2023 World Tour.

Following her trek with Combs, Lainey Wilson will embark on another exciting run as she joins Eric Church for select dates of his The Outsiders Revival Tour. Later this year, she’ll join HARDY for an arena tour.

As for Priscilla Block, she is making her way up the charts with “You, Me, And Whiskey,” her duet with Justin Moore. The song is sitting inside the Top 5 and continues to make moves.

Moore and Block wrapped up their time on the road together on the You, Me, And Whiskey Tour in April. Since then, she has continued bringing her music to Shania Twain’s audience as an opener on the Queen Of Me Tour.

Along with all the various fairs and festivals she has in store for the remainder of the summer, Block is gearing up to join Old Dominion on select dates of their upcoming No Bad Vibes Tour.
