The crowd was already roaring — but when Miranda Lambert stepped onto the stage beside Morgan Wallen, the energy in that Wisconsin stadium shot through the roof. In a surprise duet that no one saw coming, the two country powerhouses lit up the night with a fiery performance of “Cowgirls,” trading verses with swagger and chemistry that had fans screaming every word. It wasn’t just a duet — it was a country music moment: bold, electric, and destined to be talked about long after the lights went down.

Here for it.

Last night, Morgan Wallen rolled through Madison, Wisconsin and put on a show at Camp Randall Stadium as part of his I’mThe Problem tour, which featured some of country music’s most talented ladies in Ella Langley and Miranda Lambert as openers.

Of course, Miranda co-wrote Morgan’s hit “Thought You Should Know” with Morgan along with Nicolle Galyon, and it reached the top spot on the country charts in February of 2023, becoming Morgan’s 8th career #1 single. It was also featured on the tracklist for Morgan’s massive 36-song album, One Thing At A Time. The song holds an extra special place in Miranda’s heart, as it’s also the first #1 song she’s ever had purely as a writer that didn’t feature her vocals at all.

Morgan and Miranda have performed that song together before, but last night during Morgan’s headlining set, he brought Miranda out to sing his hit “Cowgirls,” which was written by his friend Ernest, who is also featured on it, along with Rocky Block, Ashley Gorley, James Maddocks, and Ryan Vojtesak.

It became a #1 hit on the US Country Airplay chart last year, and I have to admit, even though it’s heavily pop and hip-hop influenced, it’s a really fun song and of course he had to get the Texas cowgirl herself to sing it with him.

They had the crowd fired up, and while it’s definitely not the song I thought he’d have Miranda come perform with him, I’m not mad at it:
