Taylor Swift kicked off her newly empowered era by performing “Shake It Off” — the anthem that perfectly captures her resilience and defiance. It was her first time on stage since reclaiming ownership of her masters in a $360 million deal, and the choice couldn’t have been more fitting. As she sang “haters gonna hate,” the crowd roared, fully aware they were witnessing a pop queen finally dancing to her own tune — on her own terms.

Taylor Swift Was The Surprise Guest During Kane Brown’s Set

Kane Brown surprised everyone at the Tight Ends & Friends Concert in Nashville, Tennessee, on Tuesday night (June 24) by bringing out Taylor Swift on stage.

Swift was already in attendance, supporting her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who is one of the people who put on Tight End University.

When the concert, which was held at Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl, was first announced, it was revealed that “surprise musical guests” would be performing. But never in a million years did anyone think Swift would be one of the surprises!

In the days leading up to the event, the organizers revealed Graham Barham, Sophia Scott, Chase Rice, and Jordan Davis would be giving special performances.

Turns out Kane Brown was also a special guest, and he brought out his own surprise guest, Taylor Swift!

“Do y’all care if I bring out a really, really, really special guest?” he asked the crowd. Of course, they cheered, but the cheering multiplied when they saw Swift walk on stage and put a guitar around her neck.

She walked over to hug Brown and went up to the microphone to explain how this surprise performance came to be.

She said, “The one things that Tight Ends have in common with Nashville musicians, [is that] we’re all friends, right? So, you know, we’re up there having some drinks and we were thinking, ‘How loud could this place get? Theoretically, how loud could the singing be in here?’ So, I was like, ‘But I don’t have a guitar,’ and then Chase Rice was like, ‘You can use mine!’ So we would like to dedicate this to our favorite players who are going to play, and these are the Tight Ends.”

Swift made sure to bring it back to the reason they were all there – Tight End University.

What Is Tight End University?

In 2021,Travis Kelce, George Kittle, and Greg Olsen created Tight End University, an “immersive three-day program” for the best Tight Ends in the NFL. The activities the football players do include film study, on field drills, recovery, rehab, and so much more.

The point of Tight End University is for the men who play this position to bond with each other, learn from their peers, and give back to their communities.

Along with the on-field trainings, TEU hosts an epic Welcome Party, as well as the Tight Ends & Friends concert, which was open to the public.

Taylor Swift Performs For The First Time Since Owning Her Masters

For the first time since buying back ownership to all her music, Taylor Swift performed in a venue much smaller than the football stadiums she was selling out for over two years on her Eras Tour. The Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville has a 1,200 person capacity, making this the smallest venue she has played probably since her career took off.

The second she sang the opening lyric to “Shake It Off,” the crowd went absolutely nuts.

Watch the end of the performance below!

Brown celebrated the performance by sharing a photo of himself with Kelce and Swift, writing, “When you think you’re the special guest BUT you’re not 😂

And below is the full performance! Enjoy!
