Lainey Wilson Covers The Beatles’ “Come Together”

Lainey Wilson put a country spin on a beloved Beatles classic.

On Tuesday, June 24, Lainey Wilson released a new Apple Music Sessions EP featuring three tracks.

The project includes her take on Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved” and a fresh version of her own song “Devil Don’t Go There.”

Additionally, the country superstar gave a stunning cover of The Beatles’ “Come Together.”

The Beatles released “Come Together” in 1969 as the opening track on their iconic Abbey Road album. The song became a major hit, climbing to number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 and holding a spot on the chart for 16 weeks.

Following her EP release, Apple Music shared a clip of Wilson’s country version of “Come Together” on their social media. In the video, she sits on a stool behind a microphone, effortlessly singing the song with a band playing along.

Fans couldn’t get enough of Wilson’s cover. Many left comments on the video, praising her fresh take on the song.

Some fans even said Wilson’s version is the only cover of the track they’ve ever heard and actually liked.

“Never thought I would like a remake of come together…amazing!!!” someone said.

“LAINEY!! My girl! You need to do more covers!! I’ve got goosebumps,” wrote a fan.

“Awesome remake everything you touched turns to Gold you go girl!!” said another.

Not only did Wilson release three covers of fan-favorite songs, but she’s also getting ready to drop the Deluxe Edition of her album Whirlwind

The expanded version is set to be released on August 22.

 

Fans have already gotten a sneak peek of what to expect on the deluxe version.

In May, Wilson released one of the tracks from the upcoming project, her single “Somewhere Over Laredo,”  which draws inspiration from Judy Garland’s classic “Somewhere Over The Rainbow.”
