A girl on the plane threw her hair over my seat, blocking my screen: I had to teach the rude woman a lesson

Not wanting to stir up conflict, I gave her another chance—but she continued to ignore me completely. Something shifted inside me—not out of anger, but out of determination. I knew this called for a response that was both calm and unforgettable. Quietly, I pulled out three pieces of gum from my bag, chewed them, and, one by one, discreetly placed them into her hair.

About fifteen minutes later, she realized what had happened. Horrified, she demanded an explanation.

I replied coolly, saying it was the consequence of her arrogance. She accused me of being crazy, and I pointed out how disrespectful her behavior had been. I then gave her two choices: handle it on her own or let me help—with a pair of manicure scissors.

Clearly rattled, she chose to say nothing. She tied her hair up in a bun and left me alone. At last, I could sit back and enjoy my movie in the peace I’d been craving.
