HEARTBREAK IN TEXAS: George Strait in Tears, Sends Powerful Message to Flood Victims. Just 20 minutes ago, country legend George Strait, 73, stood on stage in Texas, visibly shaken. With tears in his eyes, he said, “This is my home. These are my people.” The deadly floods have taken over 120 lives, and more than 160 are still missing—many of them children. But Strait didn’t just grieve—he took action. He announced a special concert and dinner on Sunday, July 27, in Boerne, Texas, calling on fellow country stars to join him. This isn’t just a show—it’s a lifeline for those who’ve lost everything. And George made one thing clear: Texas won’t face this alone.

George Strait, 73, stood before a quiet Texas crowd this morning—his eyes red, his voice cracking—as he spoke not as a superstar, but as a son of the Lone Star State.

“The destruction and loss in our community from the recent flood is hard to wrap your head around,” he said. “Our hearts and prayers are with you all.”

Then, he paused. And what he said next brought everyone to their feet—in tears.
