Paralyzed Dog Abandoned with a Bag of Diapers Finds Love Before Her Final Goodbye

Lunetta, a paralyzed dog, was found abandoned and chained to a railing in Salta, Argentina, her back legs strapped to a rusty wheelchair. Beside her lay a bag of diapers and a note explaining that her owners could no longer care for her. A local rescue group, Luba Salta, quickly stepped in and moved her to a foster home.

Her story went viral, and an American family offered to adopt her. Sadly, they were unprepared for the care she needed, and Lunetta developed a severe staph infection. Just when hope was fading, another U.S. family stepped in, providing the medical treatment and love she needed to recover.

With a custom wheelchair, a dog sibling, and a loving home, Lunetta experienced joy for the first time—playing in snow, running in parks, and celebrating holidays with her new family. Her life, once filled with pain, was transformed into a story of second chances.

At age eleven, Lunetta fell ill and passed away in an ICU, surrounded by those who loved her. Her adoptive mom called her “life-changing.” Lunetta’s story is a powerful reminder that every dog, no matter their condition, deserves love, dignity, and happiness.
